Bendigo Buoyancy

The Bendigo Show has been the venue of the ‘Australian Sheep and Wool Show’ since 1999, and is certainly a hive of ovine activity and a show that the Mount Monmot Team enjoys attending. “We are passionate about our sheep breeding and this show gives us the chance to interact with farmers who place great importance on achieving quality breeding flocks. We are delighted that we are now able to offer astute Australian farmers that are searching for the ultimate in self-replacing genetics, the opportunity to purchase Mount Monmot rams ” says Malcolm Fletcher of the Mount Monmot stud team. Trudy and Tony Boyer say they enjoy the fact that this flock has now been proven to perform in the challenging conditions of Victoria – with such conditions paralleling those back in the east coast of New Zealand’s South Island, where impressive genetics gains in this stud flock have been made for the past 43 years.

The Mount Monmot show team were delighted to achieve a high level of recognition during the Bendigo show this month, however they are quick to point out that the highest level of importance is placed on performance in the paddock, not just the show ring. “We are gaining a reputation for proven performance in flocks throughout our client base, and this is what we continue to place the highest importance on”.
